Siegelman proposed the House Judiciary Committee add another prong to their investigation by subpoenaing Karl Rove’s Alabama business partner Bill Canary the husband of U.S. Attorney Leura Canary since no executive privilege claim can be made there. Rob Riley, the son of Alabama’s governor, is also implicated and cannot claim executive privilege. (Though I don’t buy Rove’s executive privilege claim, because he waived it by blabbing about the Siegelman case when it served his own purposes.  Furthermore, for Rove to assert ep in the Siegelman case confirms conversations with the President about the former Alabama governor’s prosecution.)

David Iglesias, fired U.S. Attorney, came on Abrams’ show, too. He said clearly Karl Rove’s fingerprints are all over this Justice Deparment scandal. Iglesias describes the national pattern.
