This sort of thing reminds me of the sequel that Tolkien was reported to have noodled over the Lord of the Rings. The only plot line he could think of was to have the sons of Gondor start emulating Orc-culture (if there is such a thing) — I assume for the same reasons Americans emultate Nazis: fetishizing strength, and the ability to screw over other people with impunity.
At the time I originally heard that I thought to myself “how implausible”. And then along came these Tea-Party cats, wanting to redo the Reich.

Just when I thought my party would endeavor to turn back to its basic roots in the days of Abraham Lincoln, we continue to slip down the slippery slope even further…wondering aloud how the likes of the warped folks in this story, NY’s Carl Paladino, etc. have managed to hijack the Republican Party.
