MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow picks apart the Republican hit piece on the closing of Guantanamo Bay.

I think you can actually hear the sound of conservatives collectively peeing themselves in the brief pauses between musical measures!!!

The ad actually juxtaposes images of GITMO prisoners and the road side welcome signs from various states with the theme from The Omen.

Nice.

What the ad screams is Americans are too incompetent to successfully incarcerate suspects and are too afraid to try.

Maddow walks you through the absurdity with her own parodies.

Incidentally, I’ve found the only person on the planet that considers that music a happy jam:

  2. I saw that. I usually see Rachel. That ad was begging for mocking and she provided it. I actually like that music, but it does do scary very well.

  3. The Republican Party needs fear to function. If they do not have something to be scared of or to scare people into voting for them for they have nothing else. They require an enemy for their validation of relevance. A Party driven by fear and hate is what people should be afraid of, not what they tell you to be scared of.

    Good Post.

    • Well, Meghan McCain made it her mission to introduce sex to the Republican party…hot heterosexual sex, I guess.

Is that taking one for the team or what! I mean think about it…all those really, really old and mean white men. She’s an angel of mercy. Totally.

  4. oh man… every time she does something like this, I think I’m gonna start a collection to send her flowers… well, done, ms maddow… well done…

Btw, I was playing that music when I was in the can earlier…. really adds an apocalyptic overtone to the whole affair…. but when you come out you feel you’ve conquered something …. lol

    holler at mood music!!!! (:))

    one love,
