Jack Cover
50,000 Jolts of Sadism

Jack Cover meets his Maker this week and maybe the hundreds of people who died after being introduced to his product, the Taser stun gun.  The 88-year old gave up the ghost following a case of pneumonia.  He was also suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Marketed as “nonlethal,” Cover’s invention shoots darts attached to wires that deliver 50,000 volts of sadism.  The electricity is meant to subdue suspects.

Cover initially intended the Taser as a weapon against hijackers and rioters in the 1960’s.
