President Palooza
Move the hell over, Bill!

Americans get all atwitter when former presidents form a cluster.  This photo, however, set me immediately in a posture of defense for Former President Jimmy Carter given the snubs he routinely endures.  The man is still a brilliant statesman besides being the Energizer Bunny for Peace.  He is a plain dealer, pulling no punches in his assessments of the conflicts in Israel.  In today’s Washington Post, he writes “An Unnecessary War.” He acknowledges indisputable acts of terror committed by Hamas but does not gloss over Gaza’s humanitarian crisis:

We knew that the 1.5 million inhabitants of Gaza were being starved, as the U.N. special rapporteur on the right to food had found that acute malnutrition in Gaza was on the same scale as in the poorest nations in the southern Sahara, with more than half of all Palestinian families eating only one meal a day.”

Politics never trump compassion for Carter, and that’s why I’d like to give Clinton a swift crotch kick for not filling in the gap between him and the oldest living American President.

  1. I thought the same thing. Carter was purposefully shunned.

But Clinton and Carter hate each other.

Personally, I respect Carter far more than any of the other pieces of shit gathered together.

  2. Thanks, Helen!

And Buelah Man the Bard! You’ve at least got to give it to Obama for suffering the Bush Sandwich. 😉

  3. I was thinking the same thing! What an unfortunate place to be forced to stand!!

This morning my friend Sivi (that funkified Russian-American) thought it was ‘veddy bahd – beddy bahd’ that O’Beautiful and Shrub and Shrub Sr. were wearing the same color tie — why oh why wasn’t he wearing red like the other dems …

No kidding — he thought there was something going on there.
    Silly Russian!

  4. Ahhhhh, Sivi had a Red Scare in the fashionista sense. Did s/he freak on Clinton and Carter failing to bring their lapel pins…duhnt, duhnt, DUHNT!!!!!!
