Cameron:  …she didn’t understand, McCain aides told me today, that Africa was a continent and not a country, and actually asked them, they argue, they say, if South Africa wasn’t just ‘part of the country’ as opposed to a country in the continent….”

O’Reilly:  “So her frame of reference in history and geography and current events was weak, according to your sources.  And. So. That. But she can be tutored, I mean the woman’s not stupid here…”

No, O’Reilly, I’m afraid that’s pretty stupid.  If you don’t know Africa is a continent, you’ve been ignoring the world since the first grade.  And 16 years of education cannot be crammed into a few weeks.  I knew Palin was a lightweight, but damn.  Damn!

  1. I am so glad Palin is off the national stage and that we will be free of her for at least the next four years….and with any luck FOREVER…If I never hear her voice again it will be too soon. I will however miss Tina Fey impersonating her on SNL.

  3. Good Lord.

I know this is probably too much to hope for, but it sure would be great if I never had to see or hear her again!

  4. O’ Reilly says “It’s gotta be more than that …?” It’s gotta be MORE than the fact that the woman was dumber than a sack of grits? ? ?

Can you imagine Biden having to be “handled” before an interview? Can you imagine being that unaware of your own deficits? Can you imagine being that lacking in, not only basic knowledge, but also in self-awareness?

People we didn’t just dodge a bullet, we dodged a nukyaler missile. John McCain. Just McNuts.

  5. You should be jealous. And there’s a side benefit to being jealous: that would make you green. Not red.

Woohoo! I love North Carolina! Love it! Of course, I loved it when it was red too, but not for that reason.

  6. I am SOOOOOO jealous that Suzanne now lives in a blue state!!!! WTG, North Carolina!!!!!

What scares me the most about Sarah Palin is that lack of self-awareness. She REALLY thinks she has what it takes to lead this country!!!!!

  7. hgalloway, don’t hate me because I’m blue-tiful! Ouch. Sorry.

Palin seems to have an unjustified arrogance, very reminiscent of George W. Bush. Having said that, I admire the woman’s moxie; having said that, humility is a trait I admire even in the best and brightest. We all have limitations. And, as a famous Republican once said, “A man’s got to know his limitations.”
