This is nuts. Convicted felon and Alaska Senator Ted Stevens receives a standing ovation from the Senate today as he gave his farewell speech. It’s true the 85-year-old is the longest serving Republican senator and actually lobbied for Alaska’s statehood…but hello? The service ends in SHAME.
