Fannie Mae says it will set aside the loan of a 90-year-old woman who attempted suicide as sheriff deputies tried to evict her from her foreclosed home.
Addie Polk, 90, of Akron, Ohio, shot herself at least twice. It happened October 1, 2008. Friday Fannie Mae spokesman Brian Faith indicated the mortgage company has stopped the foreclosure and signed the property over to her.
