Since my traffic on Karl Rove’s lie about John McCain having an illegitimate black baby is spiking the charts today, I decided to break it down in the simplest of terms for those researching.
- Karl Rove smeared John McCain in South Carolina in 2000. Rove had Republican operatives circulate lies via push polling, “Would you be more or less likely to vote for John McCain…if you knew he had fathered an illegitimate black child?”
- At the same time, Rove also circulated rumors that McCain consorted with prostitutes, was homosexual (a Rovian favorite), and that Cindy McCain was a drug addict.
- The truth was that John and Cindy McCain adopted a child from the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Bangladesh.
- Freakishly, John McCain now uses Karl Rove as informal adviser to his campaign.

McCain’s probably keeping his enemy close. That’s all I can guess.
[...] Rove has devoted his life to destroying political rivals. In the case of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, Rove is accused of influencing U.S. [...]
But Cindy McCain did go to rehab for oxy. See Huffington Post and search Cindy McCain & Drugs for the story from 1999.
[...] The anonymity of the internet offers countless opportunities for such subterfuge. Take this story for instance. It appears that there are hordes of perverted leftist bloggers out savaging this poor girl’s reputation, just to score a cheap political point for their side. Indeed, to read the original posts and comments, you’d think the Dems might just be desperate enough to attack children in order to discredit a candidate and win an election. It’s not like it hasn’t been done before. [...]
Situation89, yes she did. I only mean to point out these are Republicans going after Republicans. Cindy McCain was treated for Rx drug abuse. And her “friends” threw her under the bus.
it’s called “win at all costs” ….
[...] it because Bush and his Rove-led pit bulls treated you like an outsider during your past campaigns? Is it because they made you feel like rotted [...]
The man is desperate to win so he has decided to sell his soul to the Devil and work with one of the Devil’s demons to get that precious Commander in Cheif position that he has been craving all these years. Because unlike his gramps or pappy, he was never became 4 star Admiral or Commander of Forces. He desperately wants that top spot and wants to be able to control the military, because that was supposed to be his legacy. The guy has various insecurities, a daddy complex and is willingness to manipulate and connive his way to the top on the backs of Americans, he could care less about.
Too bad 8 years later people are getting tired of Rovian stye campaigning (lies & fear mongering). They are waking up to the fact that the state of their pocket books and own welfare is more important than, living in constant fear and not fighting Al Qaeda where they actually are.
