Former constitutional law professor, Barack Obama says he’ll restore the Constitution in his first 100 days as President.
I would call my attorney general in and review every single executive order issued by George Bush and overturn those laws or executive decisions that I feel violate the constitution,” said Obama
Some of his other immediate goals for the executive branch include working out a plan to withdraw troops from Iraq, making progress on alternative energy plans and launching legislation to reform health care. (Denver, CO/May 2008 )

Hurrah for the 100 day pledge. I have been shocked at the absense of discussion in the campiagns about the evisceration of the Constitution, including important Amendments in the Bill of Rights, as well as other executive lawlessness in the Bush administration. IF we continue along the Bush path, with support of a complicit Congress, the US Constitution, Separation of powers, and rule of law will be lost far into the future. Not easy to reverse. Our political system is off balance in general. SO many safe Congressional districts, power of big money lobbyists, electoral college. I will be joining with others to support Obama, the Center for Constiutional Rights, the Bill of Rights Defense Committee and others.
I know what you mean, but I don’t see McCain bringing this up for discussion.
