Happy Mother’s Day

This is my mom’s favorite song. It reminds me of all the other great pieces of literature she read to me before I started school. I went to bed each night with visions from the works of William Blake dancing in my head. Edgar Allen Poe was another of her favorites. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
And here’s one my own kids have played for me:

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOMS EVERYWHERE
the past few have not been as good for me as they have in the past but it is getting a little easier every year.A short story(what actually happened today)
I was in Mcsomethingorother this evening and being that I eat there regularly,I know everyone that works there. The girl behind the counter(16) had a car accident a week ago.As a result(I guess she was cited-no injuries)her ipod, car, stereo, and computer were confiscated. When she told the story earlier this week she made it sound like it was her parents fault,so I asked her who bought all that stuff and she said her parents did.Today I asked her if she wished her mom a happy mothers day and her response was “hell,no”.
WTF is wrong with kids today?
I didn’t put this down to rant.just to say this:
anybody reading this,I urge you to wish your mom a happy mothers day,hug her if you can and tell her you love her.
Even if my mom and I were at odds with each other,Mothers day was like a cease-fire day.even if it was a short phone call,it was made.
