Live Grenade Removed from Soldier’s Leg

A Colombian soldier’s life was saved Monday when a doctor removed a live grenade from the man’s leg. A fellow soldier accidentally fired the grenade rifle that caused the injury.

Surrounded by explosive experts, Dr Julian Ricardo Uribe performed the high-risk operation in the parking lot of the military hospital. Doctors said the soldier will undergo reconstructive surgery.
