The former Defense Department Undersecretary Douglas Feith, disgraced former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, and former Bush Administration attorney John Yoo all conspired to provide the legal justification for circumventing P.O.W. status and engaging inhumane treatment of prisoners in the military attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq.
