Olbermann Keeps Pressure on WalMart

WalMart enjoys another day as the Worst Person in the World.  MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann promises to keep telling the story of Debbie Shank until the multi-billion dollar company does the right thing.

About Shank:

Debbie Shank breaks down in tears every time she’s told that her 18-year-old son, Jeremy, was killed in Iraq.

The 52-year-old mother of three attended her son’s funeral, but she continues to ask how he’s doing. When her family reminds her that he’s dead, she weeps as if hearing the news for the first time.

Shank suffered severe brain damage after a traffic accident nearly eight years ago that robbed her of much of her short-term memory and left her in a wheelchair and living in a nursing home.

Shank had WalMart medical insurance and the company is now suing her for everything she has to cover the cost of her own medical bills.

  1. Whoa! Hadn’t heard this story … Man, I had other reasons for boycotting Walmart….this situation has strengthened my resolve.

  2. Yeah, I shit-list WalMart every few years. It’s definitely that time again.

  3. Walton must be turning in his grave. This company he founded has turned into a cold-hearted monster. Watch how Wal-Mart execs spin this one. Their PR people are already hard at work.
