Obama Calls Out the Silliness of VP Idea

Barack Obama makes a good point about Hillary Clinton’s suggestion that he be VP. He begins by recalling President Clinton’s criteria for a Vice President. That is to be ready to take over if the Commander-in-Chief keels over. Hillary Clinton has suggested over and over that Obama is not ready. Therefore, her suggestion that Obama be on her ticket is disingenuous.

  1. I love how the rest of world is just now learning the personal destruction politics Hillary pursues and in short her utter backhanded sneakiness.

If she says something enough, the right way, the talking-heads and subsequently the public will be over saturated with her propaganda and will inevitably begin to believe it.

  2. I agree that it is very backward for either of them really to be calling to the other to back down and be the VP. After the campaigns that both of them have put forward (more so on the Clinton side…just can’t get over the fact that she went so negative so early) they haven’t left much room for that to be considered a genuine option. That being said, I personally would have liked to have seen that. Whichever candidate received the nomination, I was hoping they would turn around and ask the other to be VP…but after the negative campaigning, how are we as voters supposed to believe that the offer is honest, and that they believe in each other to do the job? How could we as voters see it as anything other than a complete political move based entirely on gaining votes?
