Death By Icicle

Six people died over a three day period when icicles fell from buildings a Russian news agency reports.

Plummeting spears of ice is a yearly hazard for pedestrians in Russia during the spring when the sun warms thick layers of ice and snow which build up on roofs.

Medical authorities say five people died in the city of Samara and another person died in the nearby town of Otradny between February 23 and February 25.
