Dodd Down But Not Out, House’s Move

Fighting Amnesty for TelecomsSenator Chris Dodd (D-CT) expressed sorrow today that the Senate passed a version of the FISA bill that gives amnesty to telecoms who broke the law (according to VP Dick Cheney). An *overwhelming number (68) of traitors sellout senators approved retroactive immunity for companies like AT&T and Verizon who subverted the legal system and helped the White House spy without a warrant.

Now the House takes up their version of the bill and the conference committee.

The House is a lot more resistant to giving telecoms amnesty. The House version of the bill scales back some of the domestic wiretapping powers handed over this summer and doesn’t include immunity.

House leaders have already said they will not support amnesty. That may be why Senator Reid (D-NV) is moving for another extension. Representatives Conyers and Reyes, committee chairs who are strongly opposed to telco amnesty, will probably be on the conference committee for working out the final bill.

Dodd vows to remain poised to stop telecom amnesty and will use every thing available to hold up the bill when it comes back for conference resolution. He says he will use the filibuster again.

  1. This is all part of the same agenda to 9/11. Always has been, folks. Wait till they pass S-1959. Everything that people have been saying all down the years is becoming crystal clear. Everyone called them crackpots and anti-Semites, but it looks like the joke has been on us!
