Rove: Vote White, Vote Clinton

“Jealousy…
It is the green-ey’d monster which doth mock
The meat it feeds on.”
Shakespeare’s Karl Rove Iago

Green-eyed Monster Karl Rove

“Every tale condemns me for a villain.”

Karl Rove. He is the guy Republicans pay to hang around and to think up evil shit. Rove has been on hiatus since August of 2007. Machiavelli takes a holiday. Well, he’s back. He’s back to explain how Democrats are mostly beer-drinkers as opposed to wine-swillers. He’s back to scold the media for trusting the polls. (True, election polling has gone very badly since 2000.) He’s back to explain why the “lazy,” “trash-talking” Senator Barack Obama could not defeat the warm, powerful, and humanized Senator Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. Rove’s attempt at high-brow editorial writing in Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street journal gives you a peek into the mental plotting of a modern villain.

The op-ed piece is tripe. Rove calls Clinton’s supporters the beer-drinkers. Obama won the wine crowd. Clinton appeals to the working-class. Obama draws the educated and gentrified. Rove’s take is, of course, stupid and wrong. Collegiate types drink ample amounts of beer. Plenty of women take wine over beer. Women supported Clinton. Young people backed Obama. Rove cracks a whip on the media and pollsters then brandishes his own voodoo election analysis replete with absurd generalizations.

Why? It’s not because he failed to complete college.

Rove has been a professional assassin of character for the right-wing for decades. He aims for power to be in the hands of the far-right. He means to defeat the Democratic party this year. All of his op-ed twaddle served that purpose. He fastened Obama with a racist stereotype for blacks, “lazy.” And Obama doesn’t criticize; he “trash-talks” according to Rove. He is not writing to liberals with that sort of inflammatory crap. He is mocking liberals and appealing to the vilest of his own base: the racists. Rove knows Republicans are crossing party lines. Rove’s subtext is for those crossing over: vote white, vote Clinton. Rove is certain Senator Clinton can be crushed. The last thing Rove wants is to lose, to lose to Democrats.

He’ll envy power in the hands of liberals for the rest of his life, and he knows it…just like Niccolo Machiavelli in his exile.
