Million Dollar Bill Lands Man in Cuffs

Deputies in Aiken County, South Carolina say a man tried to open an account with a $1 million bill. The problem is there is no such thing. The bank employee denied Alexander D. Smith an account and call the sheriff. Smith began cursing at tellers.

Smith, 31, of Augusta, Georgia, was arrested charged with disorderly conduct. He also faces two counts of forgery, according to Sheriff Department Spokesperson, Lt. Michael Frank.

Smith earned he additional forgery charge after investigators discovered Smith allegedly bought several cartons of cigarettes from a nearby grocery store with a stolen check.

Smith has a bail hearing scheduled Wednesday.
