SIOUX CITY, USA
What’s in a name? Officials in Sioux City hope there’s a chance for a little comedy in their airport’s three letter identifier. SUX. Somehow, they think they can market it. The SUX code used by pilots, air traffic controllers and airports around the world will be printed on tickets and luggage tags. “Fly SUX” is the airport’s new slogan and will be printed on t-shirts and baseball caps.
The new website of course is: http://www.flysux.com
Rejected codes offered by the FAA include: GWU, GYO, GYT SGV, and GAY.
